What is WSOP?
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) was born in 1970. That year, to generate publicity, Benny Binion invited some Vegas A-listers to his Horseshoe Casino for a cash game series. The ultimate “champion” was to be decided by a secret vote.
Now, more than 50 editions later, the WSOP is an international celebration of poker's best professional and amateur players. The WSOP awards hundreds of millions of dollars each year, not only in Las Vegas but also in Europe, the Bahamas, and online.
This is our official World Series of Poker 2024 summary page, complete with the results and totals.
World Series of Poker 2024
The 55th edition of the WSOP will return to the Las Vegas Strip, hosted at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. The latter venue will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024. The series will run from May 28 to July 17, 2024, featuring nearly 700 tables, numerous new events, and the iconic WSOP Main Event Bracelet.
The Main Event is set to begin on July 3, with four starting flights extending until July 6. Players will have the opportunity for late registration on July 7-8, up until Level 7 or around 4:40 p.m. on Day 2 of each starting flight. The Main Event Final Table will take place on July 16-17 at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
